This video installation is a critique of capital punishment and executions. I have narrated some lines from the introduction of the book “Golestan” by Saadi (also known as Saadi Shirazi), a prominent Persian poet and prose writer [1210 to 1291-92]. I have selected the parts of the book that are a prayer declaring one shall always be thankful for every inhalation and exhalation.
